Die Narentiner waren ein slawisches Piratenvolk, das im 9. und 10. Jahrhundert die Adria und Teile des Mittelmeers befahren hat. Sie kamen aus dem Balkans und waren für ihre Grausamkeit und ihre Angriffe auf byzantinische, venezianische und arabische Schiffe bekannt.
Obwohl sie von den Byzantinern bekämpft wurden, gelang es ihnen, ein bedeutendes Seereich aufzubauen und Handelsbeziehungen mit anderen mittelalterlichen Mächten aufzunehmen. Die Narentiner beeinflussten auch die Entwicklung der mittelalterlichen Kultur und Architektur in der Region.
Auch die Piraten der Adria verdienen eine Erwähnung, und deshalb zolle ich Ihnen mit meiner Musik einen kleinen Tribut.
Dazu habe ich ein kleines Stück komponiert, um in Stimmung zu kommen. Ich werde an diese Filmmusik anknüpfen und mehr „Piratenmusik“ komponieren. Die nächsten Stücke werden mehr ethnische Instrumente enthalten. Herzhafte Rhythmen, leidenschaftliche Melodien und Kriegsmusik. Ich hoffe, dass Ihnen die Idee gefällt.
The Narentines were a South Slavic tribe that occupied an area of southern Dalmatia. Centered at the river Neretva (Narenta), active in the 9th and 10th centuries, noted as Pirates on the Adriatic.
☠ ☠ The pirates of the Adriatic also deserve a mention. And therefore I pay you a little tribute with my music.
☠ I composed a little piece to get in the mood. I will follow up this film music and compose more „pirate music“. The next tracks will include more ethnic instruments. Hearty rhythms, passionate melodies and war music. I hope you like the idea.
